In December, Multiband acquires the assets of the Midwest region of Enstar Networking Corporation (ENC), a data cabling and networking company.
In the context of a triangular forward merger and to expand its range of computer products and related services, Multiband purchases the stock of Ekman, Inc. d/b/a Corporate Technologies.
The company merged with Ekman, Inc. into Corporate Technologies USA, Inc. (MBS) which provides voice, data and video systems and services to businesses and government.
Multiband’s Multiple Dwelling Units (MDU) segment (formally known as MCS) begins in February – MDU provides voice, data and video services to MDU properties including apartment buildings, condominiums and timeshare resorts.
In July, the Company regains its reporting company status.
In December, Multiband’s stock begins trading on the NASDAQ stock exchange under the symbol VICM.
The stock symbol is changed to MBND to be concurrent with the company’s name change from Vicom, Inc. to Multiband Corporation. Multiband purchases video subscribers in a number of separate transactions, the largest of which is Rainbow Satellite Group, LLC.
Multiband also purchases the stock of Minnesota Digital Universe, Inc. (MNMDU) which makes Multiband the largest Master System Operator in MDUs for DIRECTV in the United States.
In April, the MBS business segment is sold.
Multiband begins to use its internal support center and billing platform to service third-party clients.
DIRECTV provides Multiband with the right to bill services directly to end-users.
Multiband begins working as a Home Service Provider (HSP) by acquiring 51% of the outstanding stock of Multiband NC, Inc. (NC), a fulfillment agent for DIRECTV which specializes in providing satellite TV to single-family homes.
This acquisition is followed up by the acquisition of an 80% interest in a group of companies which are the former operating subsidiaries of DTHC: Multiband NE, Inc. (NE), Multiband SC, Inc. (SC), Multiband EC, Inc. (EC), Multiband DV, Inc. (DV), Multiband Security, Inc. (Security).
In January, Multiband increases their ownership interest in Multiband NC, Inc. (previously at 51%) by an additional 29%
In December, the remaining 20% of Multiband NC, Inc.’s operating entities are purchased.
In March, Multiband has approximately 120,000 owned-and-managed subscriptions with an additional 50,000 subscribers supported by its Sales and Support Center.
Multiband acquires Groupware, expanding its business to include HSP installations for Cable Television services.
Multiband also acquires segments from WPCS which creates an Energy and Wireless division.
Multiband becomes as a wholly-owned subsidiary of Goodman Networks.
